I visited over 36 countries so far and travel is a huge part in my life. During travel periods there are plenty of different photographers genre to be covered, documentary, people, street, food and nature/landscape photography. During the day I am usually looking for good spots for emotional sunsets and sunrises, accompanied by a travel documentation. Each of the following images is full of stories of real life and people.
2020 was the year of Corona, shut downs of countries and difficult times for mankind, also photographers. I had to cancel 7 trips to other countries only visiting Italy and Switzerland besides the island Wangerooge at the German North coast.
2019 I visited Sevilla & Tenerife (Spain), North Italy, Kärnten (Austria) and made a revival journey with my father to find his escape route from Czech to Germany in 1945.
End 2018 I participated in a house slaughter close to my home, not so much to travel but very emotional, "Home Slaughtering"
April 2018 I visited Meteora, Greece for a 4 day landscape photography projectMarch 2018 I visited Fez, Morocco for a week city photography project
March 2018 I visited Fez, Morocco for a week city photography project
December 2017 I visited the area around Livno, Bosnia (see "Bosnia") an unknown paradise, beautiful landscape, pure nature with all wild animals you can imagine in Europe (horses, bears, lux, wild pigs, wolves,...). This trip is best for nature lovers who love meat, vegetarians might starve. Once you travel in that region you will see the lost villages of Serbian families who left this region after the war, bomb craters and tanks, the remainders of the Bosnian war 1992-1995.
Most impressing in 2017 was the journey to Rinca meeting children and Komodo dragons at one place in Indonesia which I published in my daughters basic school ("Children of Rinca").In 2018, a few weeks ago I participated in a house slaughter close to my home, not so much to travel but very emotional, "Home Slaughtering"
